    Re: Any arguments AGAINST MAS?

I have found incredibly talented and capable musicians who obsess over their gear (Dawg, Thile) and those who don't (Monroe). I'm unsure if skill correlates with not being a mando-head. Some folks...

Re: IV "In the White" F5 model

I'm with Mike on that. Finishing is as important as how the plates are graduated and put together. That's a totally different skill set to learn and challenge yourself with.

    For $340 it could be...

Re: Storage: Case vs Hanging on the Wall

I have had my mandolins on wall hangers for years. Never had one fall. The only thing they get is dusty sometimes. I cover the peg head/tuners with a hat. I play them less when stored in cases.

    Re: Are Eastmans a keeper?

We have members with the means to cycle through some really high end mandolins and they quite publicly share their quests. I'm not a performer, I don't even earn fun money playing mandolin. I have a...

What makes a keeper is owner dependent. If you enjoy it and get satisfaction from how it and you perform together, then it's a keeper.

    Re: Grieving Sally Goodin

Our pets are often closer than work colleagues and even most friends. I know your loss. It hurts. It's real. Grieve. I'm sorry for your loss. It's especially hard when you're the one in the house...

    Re: Good news, bad news.

I'm pretty much done for buying mandolins. I have two that hit all my needs and are better than my abilities (and willingness to practice). I used to hunt around (see my blog posts) but, that's not...

Re: If You Were Famous . . .

I guess I'm of two minds when someone famous posts. For instance, I always get a bit of a giddy thrill when Dawg posts even though I've met and chatted with him a couple of times. Then again, there...

I can't answer your question but, if you want a new build with Bruce Weber attention and service, you should buy a new one from his new venture Montana Lutherie.
