  1. Instruction or "How to" for a Beginner at Audio Editing

I've recorded some good 24 bit tracks of my band but I lack knowledge and experience to edit and mix them. Is there a book or an online source that anyone recommend s? Something like Don Julin's...

    Re: Two questions

I've tried the textured Primetone but I prefer the sculpted, smooth 1.3 in a couple of different shapes. I've been successful reshaping them to be as much like my Blue Chips as possible.

Re: Your Thoughts On D'Addario XT Strings

I've had my first set of XTs on my K956 for two months and they sound good and have no problem tuning or staying in tune.

A DVD you might find helpful is Carl Jones Old Time Mandolin: Tunes and Tips. You can buy it direct from Carl Jones (he would appreciate it) or from Elderly Instruments.

    Re: Rice university

A friend plays one of Stephen Marchione's acoustic guitars and it is astounding! You'll find a lot of photos on Stephen's fb page but I don't remember seeing any mandolins.

Re: Best Android Tablet >10" for Sheet Music

I have a p.c. laptop and I'm leaning toward buying my first android pad but all of my music buddies have Ipads; I'm assuming the two species are unable to communicate and share pdf files.

    Re: Kentucky 950B Black face

I would contact Saga. My KM956 isn't listed on their website but it is a production model. It's the same instrument as the 950 but a reddish brown finish instead of the burst.

    Re: Point of Diminishing Returns

Be aware of any tension in your hands and arms while you're playing. If you are tensing up then you're getting tired. For me, tension prevents me from playing well.

    Re: The Kentucky

The finish on my KM956 is very thin. I'm sure this helps the tone and volume. The very thin finish is one of the reasons I had a custom pick guard made for it.

The same Steve Hartz. In a few short hours I'll be making music with him. I think the KM150 sounds good and the one I've seen has a really nice dark sunburst finish.
