A guitar neck, for sure. Or a tenor guitar neck. It's quite comfortable. The neck is 1 3/8". The 23" scale is a bit of a stretch, but it's a good work out!
I made it very clear in my original comments that I was not and am not disparaging Indonesian craftsmanship. I am happy with the quality, sound, playability etc of this octave. I regret that I did...
I apologize for my misinformation. I had only looked at the info on the Mandolin Store page, and the KR strings cite. I have no problem with the instrument - it plays like a dream, and it sounds...
I just received an MN-30SB tenor guitar body, rosewood, sunburst matte finish today. It sounds great, it's surprisingly easy to play, even with a 23" scale. The fit and finish - well the fit is very...
Ooh. Such great voicings- the tune is Gershwinesque, to my ear.
Well, I just order one for super cheap, so I can chime in soon enough!
What's the latest word on the quality of these? I wouldn't expect much at this price, but how does it compare to others in the range?
I'm so lucky to have met Stan on my (very few) trips to SI. He did us all such a fine service, and with such style. He will be missed, but he made a difference, and that is worth celebrating.
Yeah!!!! An all-time great tune, and you do it justice on the mando, too.
ps, Dan can also play the hell out of these fine instruments.
Are you going to Swannanoa this year? Can't make it, but it looks like as good a time as ever.
I'd go with "Dazed and Confused" since this seems to be the condition of many of the submitters thus far. Also, both the mando and the movie hail from Austin.
The single greatest jam in the history of music camps. Ok, maybe there have been others as good, but it's impossible for any to have ben better. I have almost 3 hours of the 5 hours they played on...
I'm really looking forward to it! Classes with Radim - new for me- and Mike and Donny! Now if I could only find more time to practice . . .
I've found this handy - ymmv

Have a listen! Also, we need a name, and suggestions are welcome.
I'd like to experiment a bit and put a modern, adjustable bridge on my 1920 A4. What bridges would you recommend?
Pete Frostic! My former teacher.
Yep. I'm down to one. At a time. Can't play more than that.:whistling:
I did that, and it works quite well. 3 mandos on the wall for over 5 years, not muss no fuss.
Gee, that's a nice thing to say! Thank you, sir!
