    If you want the absolute best finish you can try micromesh. I used regular sandpaper to give the base shape of my wolle pick, then micromesh 3600 > 8000 > 12000. It's what they use to polish plane...

    It could have been a lot worse indeed, have a speedy recovery. If you start riding again think about getting a go pro, it might film the fleeing car and its license plate if you're lucky....

    I bought a set of Fisoma 3050D Supersolo strings after an other forum user recommended them to me (crisscross), very pleased with them. I never tried Thomastik's but these are almost 2 times cheaper....
