    Re: Ted Davis mandolins

Thanks, Mike. I've seen most of what's out there already. I was hoping to hear from some people who've played his instruments.

    Ted Davis mandolins

Has anyone had any experience with F-model mandolins built by the late Ted Davis of Loudon, TN? How do they sound, and what do they go for? Thanks for any help here.

    Superior A-model case fit

The original case with my 1919 A-2 is getting pretty beat, so I ordered a Superior CD-1521 case on Amazon. It arrived today, and I found that it's an exceedingly tight fit. I understand that it's new...

    Re: F-4 cases

    Ron,

I got a case from Eastman. It appears to be the same case as yours. I had to make a couple of adjustments to the contour - the top point and the body curlicue - but other than that, it's...

    Re: F-4 cases

    Ron,

Can you give me a couple of measurements on your Eastman? (1) From the end pin to the forward tip of the heel, and (2) from the forward tip of the heel to directly under the nut where the...

    Re: F-4 cases

Thanks, David. The headstock clears, i.e., doesn't rest on the neck cradle? What model of Guardian case is it?

    Re: F-4 cases

Thanks, Jill. It looks like the right dimensions but appears to lack an accessories compartment, or maybe I'm missing something.

    F-4 cases

Does anybody know of a rectangular case that's made for the shorter neck F-4? It seems like everything's built for F-5 dimensions.
