Re: “It’s Now or Never” Saturday Jam

Great job Songbird. I was hoping you would do more tremelo action, as in the original Elvis recording, but nevertheless it still sounded great!

Re: Help..problem with strap and looking for ideas.

    Hi Wayne:

Almost the same exact thing happened to me, so I know how you feel. There are many solutions out there but the cheapest and secure system that I found was the D'addario strap lock.

    Re: What's the real difference?

Hi Devin: don't second guess yourself. If you feel you have a keeper, then that's your answer. However, once you gain more experience and your playing has reached a higher level, then go out and...

I second the idea of taking a road trip to Nashville. But you may need to call ahead and make an appointment due to the pandemic. I visited Nashville on a business trip a few weeks ago and tried to...
  14. Re: Long term planning for 1st mandolin and uke GDAE in the meant

    Hi cunparis:

Thanks for the clarification. I can easily play B on the A string followed by G# on the D string, no problem, and I don't have large hands or long fingers. Even with anchoring. The...

Re: Still cant play a break!

Matthew: as others have suggested, keep it simple by playing just the 1, 3, or 5 notes of the chord being played. You don't have to play all the notes in the melody. With practice, it will come to...
