Re: Did my eyes just get older? Font size...

I know how to zoom...doing that constantly is lame...
Changing font size in settings on my iPad has no affect on the display of the cafe.
I point this out for you as this is a perceived problem...

Did my eyes just get older? Font size

Did the iPad iOS forum interface just decrease text size? Is there a way to make the cafe site display larger text? It is tough for me to read the small text and touching the micro zone for opening...
  5. Re: Tonedexter wavemaps for mando and mic position...

So the thing is, the signal from each piezoelectric is different, I tried using a different pickup mount location and it sounded wonky...
It's not a midi controller, just a filter applied to your...

Re: How do you clean your mandolin?

I dribble drops of beer off my mustache while on stage. When it gets too gross, I wipe it down with a damp cloth...buff dry, then a little DrDucks Axe Wax(I think it's just mineral oil) gets it...
  7. Re: Tonedexter wavemaps for mando and mic position...

I think it's more complicated than just eq adjustment...I think it is a digitally processed signal that transforms the piezoelectric input to match the acoustic sample...impulse filter is what TD...

Re: New Kelley A model violin style

That design is great. I normally have no interest in a styles, but this I like.
Looking forward to a listen...clip please
  9. Re: Splurging on the Best Possible Mandolin Strings

Each instrument responds differently to the strings available...the splurge would be to buy 10 different sets any try them all to see what your mando likes.

  10. Re: Help! I can't hear the beat when I play a break

Don't trust the tapping foot! Some people do crazy stuff, particularly when they solo.
  11. Re: Help! I can't hear the beat when I play a break

You should ask your band mates to over-do their rhythm part, making the beat and chop extra pronounced. Ask them to over do the walk up/down between chords. And ask for heavy downbeats on the...

Re: Loud, or Not So Loud?

If it's night and you need to practice, try only working the left hand through chord positions and scales...no picking. That way you won't be practicing a useless pick technique.

    Re: Mic preamp for condenser

I think the noise or lack of fidelity is from the pre, not the phantom voltage...I’m not completely confident in my stance, but wanted to put that out there for some with an informed opinion to chime...

Dude, I love Bluegrass. I gotta say, your last thread got shut down cuz you rambled, insulted, and sent too many too fast. I think your naughty words in post 6 might get this one shut down too......

Re: 2006 a Golden Year for Webers?

No, mine is custom for me. It has a great tone, Orford Cedar top, but not Bluegrassy. More modern and mellow than needed for my work in a bg band.

    Re: Strap Locks

I use two techniques to deal with this...
I put my strap on the button wet and let the leather shrink back to fit tight on the tiny shoulder of the end pin jack.
    I religiously use the StrapJack...
