Howdy back atcha, Lane!
They built A models first in 1999, and F models a couple of years later. See serial numbers on Collings website. I’ve owned a number of MTs and MT2s. I like ‘em, prefer MT2s, though, for the red...
I have a Gerald Anderson A5 that is traditionally voiced. You may be able to find one in $2k range.
I think Kimble or Duff A5’s meet that tonal description but you are unlikely to find one at $3000.
Congratulations!
You can't beat that for a nice response!
I'm sorry the numbers did not work out for their continued manfacture. It was my good fortune to work out a trade for one of the A model cases, home to my Henderson A. There is a Small Dog cover...
When Guy Clark lived in San Francisco, he and Minor Wilson repaired guitars. Guy helped Wilson build a solid body electric mandolin with a mandola fingerboard for Johnny Winter, a friend of both...

Cool— did you have that at camp last year?
You can still watch the Station Inn show—go to their FB page and then to videos

Interesting—- I bet I have emailed 10 + times over the years and always got a response. Did you use customerservice@collingsguitars.com?
As mentioned earlier, we sometimes travel in a group, and in this group everyone plays except one guy and he's a really good cook, so we tolerate him!
Last weekend at Grayson Highland SP we made...
We opted for a trailer with an additional outdoor kitchen--my wife is responsible for the nod to Guy Clark on the outdoor kitchen door. MMC--Sam Bush played mandolin on Dublin Blues!

Mark--some of our favorite traveling/camping has been in Texas. Texas has some of the nicest state parks. We really enjoyed the Hill Country, Big Bend, Davis Mountains, Seminole Canyon. We camped...
We travel with our camper trailer, sometimes for as long as a month, and most times with some other folks that play music. We just returned from 5 days at Grayson Highlands SP in sw Va, and and did a...
