    Math not my strong point but I can't get the same cost figure that you say you got on the Mangan website ! 20% off of $13.47 is not not $8.62 according to my figures !

    For my current Girouard A4 I use Curt Mangan Phosphor Bronze and Mangan Monel ! Like both ! I will soon have a Girouard F4 and will use the same strings !

    I did own a Tonegard years ago and due to the way I held my mandolin I saw/heard no benefit from it ! I had to wrap the prongs with microfiber to keep these prongs from marking my mandolin. Sold it !

    Oval more sustain in sound and more decay in sound of F holes whether an A or F mandolin . Bluegrass players normally prefer a F5 or A5 while folk and old time players generally prefer an oval . Not...

    I served in Vietnam which I strongly believe was a senseless war and what makes me sick is that there were over 40,000 deaths of US serviceman 22 years old and younger !
