    generally an octave g is like a 3rd A string and the octave d like a 3rd E string
    just a scale note off.

    Recently they are produced by CNC laser cut out, with no welding, that ended custom options..

    but If you can weld, make one of your own, just for yourself..

    You could always sit down.. use a chair, .. set your mandolin, (say on your left knee, if right handed) , a little ways away from your belly...

    AFAIK the main difference is sides of Rigels are curved so bend the mounting points, to suit. then slip the tubing sections over them again ?

    OP had a taste for Gibson's F5's, I have bought 3 A types over the decades,
    an A 40 in the 70's , a Brown oval A in the 80's and an A4 in the 90's.
    I still have the latter 2... ~o)

    And ,, there is flat topped, ground down round wound bronze, so half round wound after that process.. the wound A is around a very thin core ,

    so I'd suggest substituting a plain A string..

    Practical Mixing

    The manner in which the Neutone plain strings winds their loops, reminds me of why Gibson tail pieces have those 4 extra hooks..

    Their simple twisting method can come undone, so I have replaced...

    Maybe if you make the case to fold open like a book you can get them all in , be + 2x as wide..

    or stack them in layers like keyboard ranks on a pipe organ..

    this is where the EFX pedal...

    soft woods on top , redwood , spruce Cedar hard woods on back , Martin made cant top mandolins in mahogany & Koa
    but that's a different style ... the Gibson & Copies seem to be favored here..

    One I got after the fact for 1 22 A is too small, thin in depth, for a tone-gard,

    the one that stayed with the other , A4 is deeper and I can leave the tone-gard on.

    both are green lined.....

    I have a couple 4 string electrics , solved weak E output with CGDA tuning..

    IMO, high E is challenged by being, short, thin and low amplitude in the magnetic field,

    it does not vibrate...

    may be more than adequate , in comparison, Vs an Asian Import ,
    with several layers of cost Markup, VAT,...
