    I love casin picks too. I don’t use them much for gigs, as they wear fast and I have had problems with forgetting to rotate my grip, resulting in warped or bent feel to pick as my heat and sweat...

    My Ratliff is a forever axe, as is my Weber. Both are custom for me, so I’m stuck with them for life...they both have my name on the label next to the makers.

    If your banjo is openbacked, I’ve surprisingly had great sound from a sm58 zip tied to the coordinater rod. Dynamic mics are usually easier for the oomph of the banjo, but don’t like the mandolin as...
