Re: Any Baritone guitar players here?

Update: I ended up getting an Alvarez A/E baritone with LR Baggs electronics. With discount at GC it was a little over $400. For the $$ I’m very happy with it and it came set up nicely from the...

    Re: Shipping Costs

I’ve pretty much given up on shipping mandolins or guitars because of the cost.

    Re: cheap external pickup

I tried several cheap external pickups before I got a K&K twin internal. The others sounded cheap. My advice would be to get a good external, and if you donít keep your Weber, you can transfer the...

    Re: Stradolin Seeks Glue

A few years ago I picked up a similar vintage Strad. The neck was totally loose from the body, so it was a project. I reset the neck and it played pretty good.

Re: Any Baritone guitar players here?

Pretty sure both of the Taylors I played were tuned A-A. That big low string was a little floppy, but I think I would get used to it.

Edit: Nope, Taylor Baritone guitars are all tuned B-B...

    Re: its only a Dollar..

Re: Ridiculous ebay post of the day

He’s playing finger-style mandolin using power-chords. Maybe it’s actually an octave mandolin, which would account for the oversized body......

    Re: Blueridge BR40T

I was told that a OO guitar case would work, but I don’t know for sure because I ended up getting a used case from a friend and I think it was a 3/4 size case.
  10. Re: Northfield archtop guitar-bodied OM

I played one at Elderly a few weeks ago and it was awesome. I also played a Pono there and it was quite good. Not as good as the Northfield, but very good.
  11. Re: Sellerís Remorse - 2008 custom Weber Fern

I had a Telecaster that I sold to a friend and immediately regretted it. About a year later I asked him how it was working out for him. He said he was going to sell it because he bought another Tele...

    A trip to Elderly

I havenít been in to Elderly in a while and I stopped in yesterday. Wow. Thought I had died and gone to mando heaven. They had two Ellis Mandos, one with a one-piece back and another blond...

  15. Re: Question about Acoustic Amps and PreAmps

I have a K&K in my Breedlove ff and my Acoustic guitar and I go directly into my Fishman Artist with both. It sounds good. I sometimes will use the DI out on the back of the Artist into my Fishman...

    Re: Song Writers???

All good advice. There is no right or wrong way to write a song, and a songwriter can’t tell you how to do it, only how they do it. I have found that keeping a journal is essential. Sometimes I write...

    Re: Long term band

I’ve played off and on for the last 45 years with the same couple of guys. We’ve had several different bands playing rockabilly, 80s rock, blues, and now acoustic Americana. We’ve had our ups and...

Re: Giving credit where credit is due

I bought a Snark a couple years ago and it broke after about two weeks. The store— a well known retailer who is mentioned here often— refused to replace it. I guess I should contact Snark directly.
