    Yes - that's quite right. It's used a lot in French Breton music, although I guess in the city, we rarely hear flute music played live unless visiting a concert hall or busker outside public...

    looks like the writer from the mid-19th century was an American, and this prayer has become an American standard, but not hit the UK shores...

    It's a solid body and feels substantially weightier than a normal mandolin - just the way I like mine.
