I have the same problem. Can do the rhythm chops etc but feel so mechanical with the melody and forget where the notes are in a jam regardless of how well I can do the melody at home. I am hopingsome...
Same thing here in MO with the temp fluctuations. Tuning "up" is what it is called so don't tune "down".
Just got Rob Meldrum book last week. Have studied it first and will use the info on my Gibson this week.

Start doing the A chop first, it seems after a while the G drops right in. The A is noy as much of a stretch!
