Toys for musicians are always good!
A new, already set up Loar 520 with case, some strings, picks, and a strap and a couple of books. Santa finally got my letter!
Facilitated by my Sweet Wife
I have found that the carrying case that comes with many Blood Glucose monitors hold picks and other miscellaneous items and are flexible enough to fit in most instrument cases or your hip pocket.
Thanks for the Tip! I bought a smaller collar for my mandolins and a larger one for my Guitars!
I agree. Great quality. I like both the Bison leather and the Elk leather.
Very good looking!
Yes...get a capo to hold your strings securely when you put on new ones and clean your instrument to avoid a lot of frustration. I like Martin Bluegrass 80/20 strings, myself.
Welcome to the group and to a fascinating instrument. There lots of good folks here that can, and will, give good (sometimes conflicting) information(LOL)
Have a great time playing it!
My local music store. Even if they have to order something, the price is usually the same or better than the Big Stores. I have purchased 2 mid-priced mandolins, a 12 string Martin Performer, and a 6...
Please forward me your email address. Thank you. dgwatsonrph@hotmail.com
I only own 2 mandolins...the other one owns me!
Does anyone know about Ledbetter Mandolins, from Atlanta, GA? Thank you.
"Taps", "Eternal Father Strong To Save, and "The Marine Corps Hymn" (short story) After that, Ray Charles, and Bach! Kris Kristofferson. Dave Brubeck.
And has anyone ever sung "Just a bowl of butterbeans, pass the cornbread if you please, I don't want no collard greens" when the rest of the congregation was singing "Just a Closer Walk With Thee"?...
I am applauding your commitment and I am looking forward to applauding your performance! There may be some that are better, but there are many of who will say "I wish I could play like that!"
That is a crappy post! LOL
If you buy "Bling", it is materialistic, If you buy "Sound,Tone,Feeling,it is spititualistic" IMHO!
I am working on that now! I found a book with lots of kids' songs and am going to learn them first!
This link no longer works, but thnks for helping!
What do you think after playing it for 18 months?
You are obviously a deep thinker and a meticulous planner!
I second the motion!
I have a D16SP,HD28, & a D35(My favorite). They are like My children and Grandchildren...I enjoy whichever I am with, and I rotate them. Enjoy what you have!
