So I managed to get my hands on Lucky this summer, although a severed long finger tendon on my left hand has kept me from playing until this week. Came in a nice Bobelock case that I cleaned up, and...
Peter--it looks like it might be an issue for some reason with the files you are uploading--I'm going to work on this tonight :). Somebody else entered their new instrument, but no photos--so I'm not...
Jeff--good point!
Let's rethink this and screw them into the center of the top, right next to the f-holes.
Ha, I just saw this pop up on the cafe homepage today. I hate tuners on the front of my headstock so much I am building new mounts for the Daddario micro clip tuners so they can sit between the...
So here is what the adapter I designed looks like on the back of the headstock, between the tuners. Yeah, the tuner can sit backwards at the top of an F headstock--but I find that my hand gets in...
Matt—I’m working on that tuner next, now that I have this one figured out. Want to beta test for me? :)
Geno, I have. Mandolin screws aren't generally long enough to make it fit. And again, it's a tight fit with mando tuners.
Well, the adhesive is one I've been testing for months on a Varnish Ellis and my Flatiron and Eastman... so far not even a little bit of an issue.
The big issue I have with the clip on tuners is...
So I really love my D'Addario Micro Clip On tuners--but I really hate having them on the front of my headstock.
So let me show you one cool trick.
This is my Flatiron with an Micro Clip on...
Ok, so in full disclosure I help Solid Ground with some of their marketing... but that’s only because I like their stands so much. I ran into Mark and his team at summer NAMM last year, and soon...
Holy smokes. Thanks a million for sharing this. It is perfection.
For my studying this week, I've decided to dig into Whiskey Before Breakfast to see what folks have done with it that is interesting.
Do you have a favorite version? Is there a wild version out...
Ivan, nice choice! I love the Diamond Wire! :)
Ivan -- Sure is, sign up for an account on Ruttlist and upload pictures, or MSG me and I can help get it going!
With this sad news I'm even more glad that I got to take my son to see LFH this past year in Chicago--it was a special trip. I don't think we are done seeing spectacular work from these folks--and...
My Ellis F5. Would be the last to ever leave, after I kick it.

What kind of lessons do you want?
Baron's Mandolessons Site has some really great material that is Youtube based and mostly 'learn by ear' friendly.
I personally do a bunch of Peghead Nation...
Thought we could all use some soothing relaxing video to watch today.
I haven't seen one this clean in a long time. Not a terrible price, either. Somebody else buy this.
...
So sad to see another great person lost to this tragedy.

Just another thought on the Peghead courses--pretty much all of them will let you start a subscription with your first month free if you 'find' the promo code on the course page and type it in when...
Looks like the custom buttons I made for the Ellis folks for one of Pava's A5's have made their way over to Carters!

Mike is correct. Current Saga knockoffs do not feature the new design that Gotoh switched to many years ago when they ditched the square posts.
You can know that they are older Gotoh's if they...
