I highly recommend them for the price even if its not the power plate.
I still play mine at sessions and just noodling (unless the kids are sleeping).
All kinds if fun for a buck and a half.
As for Hora, I bought one of their bouzoukis and felt that i got MORE than I paid for. The instrument does feel a bit light, but mine played well right out of the box. Warning, their cases are not...

Wow! forgot about this thread. I actually printed the tab from that link 4 years ago. The solo was crushing my spirit back then, but now I actually play along with the song.
I haven't posted on...
Go back a page. Good tab

I'm going to chime in on the Hora instruments, or rather, the Irish Bouzouki.
I currently own two Eastman Mandos, a Gold Tone Mandola and have had several "cheaper" mandolins. My budget has never...
The melody line was killing me since i don't read music that well. I had originally asked if some had the bridge tabbed out so that I could see what I was doing wrong.
I'll try it out when I get home. Really digging the song.
@Bill, wow! What a neat app! It didn't technically solve the problem, it gave me several different versions by various contributers and the on the fly transposition. I'm working really hard on...
I think what I have now is the notation in G (1 sharp). The note that vexes me is the first note of the bridge. My score has it as an E flat, and the chord listed is as well
I was curious how...
Was trying to add an image of my sheet music to this thread
So that would be any note in C or strum the chord....
The original has an E flat (stars fading...) hand written next to an E minor chord. The notation (written in G) has an E flat note that just...
I've been trying to work out Dream a little Dream of me and am stuck where I should be playing what I think is an E flat in the chorus second stanza
Does anyone have a simple tab they could help...
No, I had an issue with a thickness gauge, moreover, how to build one that would go over the prebuilt sides that were already glued to the too plate.
I had started to remove some of the machine...
I have the Eastman 814, but fell in love with the tone and overall feel of the the 305.
Complaints about my 814? too quiet. I've tried several types of strings, and CA bridge, but can't get her...
Outstanding John. You just reinforced my belief that anything is possible. Probably stuff like that is old hat for you, but for us neophytes, it is a miracle to behold.
Years from now, if I...
Just a quick update, new kit came in and I'm making time to build my big caliper. Torn between a digital and analog gauge.
I'm guessing i will do a bit of sanding even before measuring since the...
Check with Dennis at the Mandolin Store. He'd be able to tell you if would fit, and if he has one, what it costs.
Call dennis at the mandolin store. He found it for me in his back room and he has eastmans in stock. He may have a spare
I have a Peavey Mandolin that uses guitar style individual tuners. looks just like the ones peavey used on their parlor guitars
btw, not promoting anyone's sale in particular, but there is a case in the classifieds you might take a look at. doesn't have the storage compartments that mine does, and is a diff color, but worth...
Sorry for the late reply, but life sometimes gets in your way.
Here is a link to the gallery https://rjcoxphotography.smugmug.com/Eastman-Case/
