Re: New bluegrass fiddle tune jam along podcast

    Matt,

The pleasure was mine! It is so interesting to me to explore how bluegrass has expanded to other corners of the globe. Thank you for doing the interview!

Re: Is It Possible to Fake It?

This thread makes my pea brain hurt.

I am enjoying picturing Don and Niles, with their seconds standing by, dueling with pistols at dawn. Flintlocks.

    Re: scraping celluloid bindings

I assume they are glued in and you have done any staining/dyeing. My thinking is to apply a light coat or two of finish, give that a day to dry, then scrape away. Seems like a bit of finish on there...

Re: Raising the action on my MT

Normally, counter clockwise when viewed from above will raise it.

It is easier to turn them if you slacken the strings a bit.

Pitfalls? None. Just make it the way you like it.

Ya’ll are just asking for it. Haha. Of course, a stand may represent a deeper subconscious desire for a new mandolin. Nothing wrong with that but why wreck one to get another? Seems a waste.
