    Re: F style strap recommendation...

    Thanks for the props to...
  4. Re: When did you realize mandolin was your primary instrument?

When I included my mexico made Stratocaster and my marshall amp in a trade for my first “real” mandolin, a Gibson A9 back in ‘03 or thereabouts

Well I love the Lakota round strap look, can you leave it on your mando when...

    Re: If you jam . . . .

The movable 3 fingered chord is the really the basis for two different 2 fingered “double stop” style chords (3 if you’re willing to skip a string). Learn the 3 fingered chord and then choose which 2...

I believe he played a Nugget, not sure if I have ever seen him with a Gilchrist?
No actual idea but I think he just has a piezo pickup and ran it through that pedal board in front of him with some...

    Re: Electric Mandolin Build Help?

As you may know dialing in the high Estring with the pick up can be an issue, getting that right can make or break a four string electric mandolin IMO

  22. Re: Should I consider a very early B.R.W. (Ben Wilcox)?

Thile had Dude #5 and #14 I think?
