There’s a story that Billy Gibbons tells about BB King that goes back a number of years ...BB asked him if he wanted to play Lucille while warming up prior to a co-performance, so Billy jumped at the...

    Re: Refretting

James, have you ever done mandolin fretwire on a bass? Lee Sklar has used it for years and swears by it. Loves the feel he says. I’ve been anxious to try it.

Re: Converting 8-stringed guitars to mando cellos

My guess is you’d be fine at that scale length for a cello conversion. Certainly wouldn’t be wimpy sounding. I hope you have big hands, Lol’s
  7. Re: Gibson opposes Collings' headstock trademark registration, ci

Fender’s custom shop and a smaller subset of 10 Master Builders out in Corona are actually kicking ass doing custom spec’d to order guitars and basses. Everybody seems very happy out there and the...

It’s not good news, there’s never going to be a 100% curative for this virus, I have this from a very good source, a major biotech friend of mine. We are getting closer on treatments that can calm...

Great story, loved Vanilla Fudge who heavily influenced Zep. Another all-time rock great, Carmine Appice.

Re: John Paul Jones on American tv

BTW, in appreciation for JPJ....his chords and harmonics were elegant bass lines. Ramble On is great example...all time classic work.

Re: John Paul Jones on American tv

This Kennedy Center tribute to Zep with the Wilson’s and JB’s son probably says it all. It’s a great 7 minute listen to the most overplayed (but still great) pop song of all-time. Wilson’s kill it.

Re: Ebay - American flag mandolin

Looks like whoever layed out the lines got the position and scale wrong on the stripes hence, the blunder. I assume they did several of them, and should have been corrected after seeing the first one.
