  2. Re: A couple of position questions - trying to unlock the fretboa

If you begin a descending G pentatonic with index on root, you are using the 2nd finger on root Ffcp. If you begin the same scale with the 2nd finger on the root, you're using the 3rd finger on root...

  4. Re: Reading mandolin music score by NOT using TABS

Mostly but Dix Bruce has mandolin books that contain other genera: jazz standards, celtic and world music.

    Re: tremelo playing

Tremolo on double stops is challenging for me as well. An instructor advised me that you have to hold the pick with a much looser grip and relax as much as possible. Don't let your pick dig into the...

I've watched both shows. I've really enjoyed his music and his humor. He talked about the several instruments he played this past Sunday.

    Re: Mastering a New Skill

One of my mentors, the late Paul Buskirk, thought that some of us are born with greater dexterity than others. Just his opinion, of which he had many.
  14. Instruction or "How to" for a Beginner at Audio Editing

I've recorded some good 24 bit tracks of my band but I lack knowledge and experience to edit and mix them. Is there a book or an online source that anyone recommend s? Something like Don Julin's...

    Re: Two questions

I've tried the textured Primetone but I prefer the sculpted, smooth 1.3 in a couple of different shapes. I've been successful reshaping them to be as much like my Blue Chips as possible.

    Re: Kentucky 950B Black face

I would contact Saga. My KM956 isn't listed on their website but it is a production model. It's the same instrument as the 950 but a reddish brown finish instead of the burst.
