I've had the Mangan strings on my Randy Wood for about two months. They settled in immediately and the tone has remained steady. Very impressed.
There's the Egg and the Linda in Albany, and Cafe Lena and the Parting Glass in Saratoga. Troy Music Hall, too. All of them book bluegrass and other acoustic music, to a greater or lesser degree.
Send them an email and talk to them about what you need. I found them very helpful, and the price was not out of line.
