    REAL PLAYING, imo, is SINGING ON THE INSTRUMENT, especially in improvised music.

    Learning your scales, arpeggios, etc. is fine, but FAR TOO OFTEN, it is done in such way that minimizes or ignores...

    The Asturian tunes are my favorite of the northern Spanish regions (Gallicia, Basque, Leon...). Seems to have also gotten popular among a section of Irish players like Nuala Kennedy, Flook, etc.
