Had to buy it.
Sent Saga an email about the model designation and serial number.
I think one is related to the other somehow. If the serial number format is YYMMXXX, X=production number. This...

I’ve stumbled upon a KM650 locally.
The label dates it to 2016, model is KM-650-P.
What would the P stand for??
First chop made me say “oh my”, just like a little old lady!
Sounds really...
It’s from a small builder, not a Saga manufactured instrument.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate it.

Can anyone identify these tuning machines for me?
Hope I did the link right! HAHA
Thanks
Kirk
My kids and I really enjoy Yonder. Crazy sad news.
Thanks Mike. I did a bunch of searches, I wasn’t able to pull anything up.
I appreciate it,
Kirk
Anyone familiar with him or his work?
Any info is greatly appreciated
Kirk

Thx again
Kirk
I'm blank man. I know the guy plays an old Alvarez f style and the video opens with whiskey before breakfast.
I'll be watching this, as I don't remember how to play it.

I thought bert casey had a cool one in his book. Mandolin primer. I could be wrong though. I know I had a book years ago that had it.
Maybe it was the guy playin an old Alvarez f style? Let me...
Pandora on my iPhone and iPad, bluegrass junction on sirius sat radio.
Just set up a favorite bg artist on pandora and enjoy.
Apology excepted.
Past is in the past.

Care to explain Mike? I don't see the exaggeration in my statment. Have I crossed a line by expressing displeasure with a sponsor? So are allowed to praise but not share a poor experience? Have I...
I spoke to one of them today and he said my mandolin was "pretty much junk".
nice. I was asking about pricing on webers and told him what my current mandolin was.I told him I was not a scroll guy...
what did they use for the back wood, kinda hard to tell in that photo for me.
F5, sage advice my man.
he was talking about some cash but the math doesn't work. I've getting some good offers from our own cafe folks. Guess I should stick with what works.
Thanks for the ID.

Thoughts?
Might trade my...
Spoke to a guy at Gibson CS. He said they only have record of manufacturing in 2008. But we may have made them a year or two either way. No idea how many where made.
He also said that these...
Aggie math, 5 years sorry.
Yeah new mandolin day. It did have a MIC sticker on the back of the neck. I'll send epiphone an email and ask. Sure don't see many of them do ya?
Kirk
Less than 5 bills with the case!
About a hour in set up. Im pleased for sure. I don't know if it was a 1 year or 2 year deal. But I'm 90% sure 07 was the first year.
I know its a touchy deal when american brands get used overseas but this isn't about that. I stumbled into a local shop just goofin' off. hanging on the wall was a "The Flatiron" . Now I'm smart...
homespun has a few downloads for mandolin. I've got one by butch and I'm going to get kaufman's soon.
If you were in south texas I'd sit with ya and show you what I don't know and what not to do....
as goofy as it is to see performer on that label I think its legit. I bet some knucklehead at gibson had a bright idea and this was it.
I will first say that I've only read about 5 pages of this epic mandolin story. But let me add a odd find. It is not in my hands gets but look at these pics and PLEASE give me insight on this thing....
