Saw Chris when he was with the Desert Rose Band. Good concert.
My ears definately liked #6 the best.
Try this. Short Trip Home Video
Don't know if it is the PBS special. You can also watch over 5 minutes of it online.
Don,
David, good question. I was planning on using wood binding (ebony) on my IV kit also.
I once smashed my thumb causing blood to start to pool up under the nail. This builds up some pressure and causes more pain. I heated a needle up red hot and melted a hole thru the top of the nail....
Finally got mine in the mail. Very well packed! I was also surprised at the amount of flame on the back and mine had less than the one above.
Great!
Put an order in 4 days ago. Just got a call today that they were sold out and waiting for another shipment to come in. Might take a week or two.
Actually I think to get the greatest "depth" (distance from top of the middle to back of the recurve area) you would carve out the recurve from the top and do the rest from the back.
But it would...
Well I finally broke down and ordered a kit also. I don't how many times I've walk out to the garage to look at and admire the wood I bought so I could build one from scratch. Just seems like life is...
Thanks everyone, you've been a big help.
Don,
Sorry for the non-mando topic.
I purchased an inexpensive ukulele kit from Gizzly awhile back as a way of get my feet wet in building. Pretty much all there is to do is gluing and finish work. My...

Here's my 10!

from RI Jim
I agree with Jim.
I might be interested also. Post some pictures when you get the first one finished.
I didn't get to go after all. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif #How was it?
The red disks are bottle caps from the beers. #Still haven't figured out the dark item to the right of the small white bowl and the silver item to the right of the chapstick on top of the magazine....
Oh WOW! Thanks for posting this Spruce. #This is pretty close to where I live. #I think I'm going to try to go after church on Sunday. #Hopefully I can get the family to go.
Don,
Hey OldTymer,
# # #Would you be willing to describe your bracing pattern #(X, parallel, etc.) and the process you use when applying it? #I'm curious about the curved braces you mentioned.
Awe, come on. Can you really tell the difference between a neck that is only 1/16" wider? #It is such a small amount. I would think you would have to go up to at least an 1/8" larger before you...
Notice what appears to be a floating tail piece on the Dettaglio J3 link. Ever see one of these before?
