    For a short (yet too long a time), I had a mandola that needed its crudely installed metal strap button - quite possibly from a bass - replaced.

    I found a super nice one Made in USA from ebony...

    I learned to play the guitar thinking of it as a very large mandolin with the top four strings in reverse order. :)

    My last non-truss rod purchase required the fretboard to be planed plus refretting. It was excellently done work (better than the maker's fretting) but I could never be sure how long it would last...
