    Re: OT-ish: fiddle pickin' ?

It’s tough to navigate the pick through the radius for fast pickin, but it’s fun to do!:mandosmiley:
  5. Re: Do you take your best or most valuable mandolin to gigs?

Solved that problem by only having two awesome mandolins.

    Re: Fretless mandolin?

I bet it would sound great without all the slides, vibrato, and intonation(accuracy) issues.
I can pluck the fiddle, with a pick, at full speed, held at my chest. It’s in tune.
    I’d love to take...

If that’s a solid wood carved instrument, requiring a set up, and it doesn’t sound like a tin can, $350 seems like a steal.
Since you are new to the mandolin world, $350 doesn’t go far there days!

    Peterson Stroboclip tuner.
Or 5 different sets of good strings, so she can see how her nice mando can change its voice.

  22. Is there an easy way to convert TAB to notation?

I was wondering, beyond “sounding/counting “ it out, is there a digital way to convert tab?
