Thanks, gentlemen!
Hi, I’d like to replace the Grover F-style machines on my Weber. Can you recommend a drop-in replacement set? Thanks in advance!
Sorry, I was concerned it may be frowned upon to post a link. Here you go:

[QUOTE=Eric Platt;1657519]My main styles are general Scandinavian-American and Finnish-American music. As in, Scandinavian and Finnish music, but filtered through an American playing mentality.

I got turned on to GD with Wake Of The Flood when a friend played it for me in '75, first show W&M Hall '76, last one Hampton '95 (Dark Star!), and when I saw Tiny on PBS in '84 I immediately heard...
Andrew, PM sent.
Scale length = distance (length of fretboard) from nut to twelfth fret x 2
Didnt want to post a link and violate protocol, figured it would be easy enough to find; thanks for the advice.
Cant be too many of them floating around
Ive seen a couple of Marc's vids on youtube, i guess they're still there. He's a fine player, too! These have been on reverb for a while. This one was high on my recent list of possibles.
I played that A-style at Fiddlers Green a couple of months ago, best sounding mandolin in the store. Adi top, but had that sweet richness and responsiveness of Engelmann, with tons of volume. Yum.
With (an apparently) FLAT fretboard? Huh? Ack.
IMHO: Who'd buy a new one, anyway? Their f-hole mandolins sound awful, their round holes aren't terribly versatile, and you can't swing a cat without hitting a load of old ones on the market. How...
Wow, just checked out Dave on youtube. Never heard a better musician. Those Florida notes - with dead on intonation - kill me!
The blonde F-12! Wow wow wow! Love me some block fretboard inlays.
Ive come to like USPS. They've even gotten poorly packed instruments from Japan to me unscathed.
Is Paul Lestock (Arrow Mandolins) still building the G5? Just from pictures, it looks like his craftsmanship is exquisite. I see he's on Facebook.
The Cavalier Semantics! Comprised of English majors at UVa. :)
Yeesh, I haven't been able to GIVE away a gloss American FF on a popular selling site. :-|
Order an Econo from Ken. Now, if not sooner. :) His sound is beyond compare, and his neck! Mine has a sharp V profile. Oh, that neck!
My MAS has been servant to my muse for a long time, so many instruments have come and gone. (VISA sends me flowers on my birthday.) Seems to me the scroll is like the Grateful Dead, ya either gets it...
I sounded like crap playing Mike Marshall's Loar 30 years ago. Coz i played like crap 30 years ago. He was so kind: "It seems like nobody can get a good sound out of it besides me." Thank you, Mike....
Cool! Theres no substitute for playing with others to improve ones chops. Big fun!
Alternate joke: The one i got rid of sounded better. :)
