    Re: Photographing shiny things

Daytime, and indoors. A bright, sunlit room with no lightbulbs on.

    Re: Change signature

Yes. Look at the top (right) of Mandolin Cafe.

Settings is what you want. It’s to the right of My Profile.

Then, at left is a list with Edit Signature. Once
    there, replace old signature with...

Re: Always surprised how people send stuff

Really? Try this on for size.

An alto sax shipped in a box with lots of room, and two sheets of newspaper tossed in. The sax rattled the whole way from that ebay ‘pawn shop’ seller to my door. No...

    Great thread!

As someone that enjoys playing other instruments as well, mandolin is new to me. I’ll add that part of my active approach to practice is certainly focusing on right hand technique....

  14. Re: Micing my Farmers Market/Retirement Home Bluegrass band

How to limit feedback w/ single condenser type? Is it finding a ‘sweet spot- level’ that works?

(My experience is sound guy on a ‘fixed’ Yamaha LS-9 digital w/ single mics.)

Is the finish laquer/ nitro? A popular choice is Virtuoso Premium Polish and Virtuoso Premium Cleaner. These are sold in separate bottles.
