Re: High Quality Short Scale Tenor Guitar?

Have you considered a small Martin? They recently reissued the 5-15T. There also used vintage 1927-1933 small Martin tenor guitars that are blessed with big sound and small bodies.

I think the first step was determining what my goals were. I am not going to play with an ensemble. I am going to sing and accompany myself with chords, possibly adding chord melody. Once I find a...

    Re: Tenor Banjo Love

When I used nylon strings on the tenor banjo, I used a set of Worth Clears and tuned it dGBE. I am using the Thomastik Infield wounds on my tenor ukuleles with Worth Clear on the two E and A strings.

    Re: Re-homing my tenors

I'm giving serious consideration to re-homing my early Martin 2-18 Tenor. I have to check the serial number but I know it is from 1927-29. I have no idea how to establish the value of the instrument....

    Re: Musician Jokes

I bought a Johnson resonator mandolin simply because it is big. I could then tell an audience that "You don't need a big Johnson to play mandolin, but it helps".

    Re: Re-homing my tenors

But I can play Chicago tuning on a six string, just ignore the bottom two. The 2-18T Martin has a unique voice so that is it's saving grace.

Re: Republic Guitars Highway 49 Tenor coming soon

I've got one too. I have it tuned in 5ths but don't play it much. I like the size and the sound but have been mostly playing 6 string guitars and 4 string ukes lately.
