    I use the EJ 72 mandola set on my Collings Mandola. If I were to make up a set of nickel wound in the same gauge would the tension be the same or different than the EJ 72 set? Just wanted to try it...

    I just purchased an Ibanez AVT tenor guitar. The AVT has a solid spruce top and the top and braces are Thermo Aged.
    It is a very lively instrument and sounds like it has been played in. Not stiff...

    Mandola is a wonderful instrument and My mandolins don’t get played much anymore.
    Just wondering what the choice of picks are for mandola.
    I have been using a 73 Dunlop Ultex.

    I have a Collings mandola and I use a 35mm film container to humidify inside the case. It fits just fine inside the case.
    Just make some holes in the film container top and cut a piece of sponge....
