  2. Re: Article: ZETA Announces Launch of the "Stage" Model Mandolin

Thanks for your feedback Jan. Interestingly enough . . . at present I'm installing one of our Strados® pickups on a mandolin, replacing it's current 'hot-dot' installation. Of note is that while the...

    Re: 2020 NAMM Show Report

Thanks for your interest and support Pilot . . .

Our 'Stage' mando has tone bars. I've made a couple x-braced proto-types but settled on tone bars as the model we wanted to 'nail' . . . perhaps...

    Re: 2020 NAMM Show Report

Hey Bill . . . good question. The new 'Stage' mandolin is a fully acoustic mando built entirely in our shop and is available as acoustic only. It is also available as an A/E (acoustic/electric)...

  10. Re: Gibson threatening the mandolin and guitar luthier community

Yes . . . sorry for that (unclear) oversight on my part . . . 'that F-style 'inspirational' mandolin I purchased from George Gruhn was definitely not a Gibson, but rather an extremely fine example of...
  11. Re: Gibson threatening the mandolin and guitar luthier community

Thanks Bernie. Aside from the 'let-down' of the moment (ie, 1st encounter with Henry on the NAMM show floor January 1986) and subsequent frustration . . . there are odd vivid memories that provide a...

Flatiron: setting the record straight and a bit of context:

I primarily agree with the prior posts here which emphasize the untenable act of forging the 'Gibson' name and passing off forgeries and...

Re: Steve Carlson Tooling Up at ZETA

ZETA hasn't been involved with Gibson in a long time, maybe 1999 was the last of the Gibson association.

Reportedly originally owned by someone associated with the Osborne Brothers. Don't know anything about that.
