The S1 Pro senses when tilted back or used as wedge and adjusts EQ accordingly. The micro switch in speaker hole tells unit that it is on a stand and will adjust EQ for that application.

Ah pastry knife/car jimmy great idea!
Love the Bose S1 Pro. I have gotten a lot of use out of it
1) personal monitor/amplifier
2) floor monitor for vocals etc..
3) bluetooth speaker for...
Thanks but that is not related to Bose S1 Pro
anybody else?
Bose Pro S1 stuck on stand
The Bose S1 Pro has an EQ micro switch in the stand hole and I suspect this is what is preventing me from removing stand. The switch has maybe popped out and got stuck...

Thanks I have used your TABS in the past. Tony is the best.
Sounds great Don...Elk River...a great tune!
I have a Red Eye Twin so would just switch to the unused channel and that would act as a mute since I onLy used one side.
I used the BiX at a gig and was very happy. My Red Eye Twin going up for...
Sorry to hear RIP Ivan.
Did some more A/B-ing of BiX vs. Red Eye. Very close and I need to do a live gig to truly judge but so far my observations:
They are very close in quality though BiX is slightly less noisy. Sound...
Thanks everybody. I A/B'd my guitar with BiX vs. Red Eye and if anything I was getting more bass with the Red Eye. Go figure. Still need to try the mandolin which I would expect to be less of an...
Red-Eye Twin specs:
Input: high-impedance, 1 million ohms, maximum 1 volt peak-to-peak level.
Grace BiX specs state that the input is 10M Ohms and that can cause a problem with K&K pick-ups...
What kind of pick-up in your mandolin? My K&K sound very good through the Red Eye with the treble all the way off.....the tone bars in my Kimble were in such a way that the placement of the K&K...
I've been using a Red Eye Twin happily for years on numerous gigs. I play mandolin and guitar. On my Pedaltrain Nano I also have the TC Body Rez pedal (verdict still out) and a Earthquake Device...
Appears to be ceramic but I don't think Mudslide as there looks to a logo on end whereas Mudslide usually labels name horizontally along slide
Interesting on Watson Allman vid linked above it...
eff no! leave it alone
I have the Bose tower and the Bose S1 Pro love them both. The tower with the larger bass unit can put out some great bottom end on your acoustic. Bose S1 Pro is winner and you can't beat the...
Dimensions I don't have but they were P90 style pick-ups
I came to this conclusion after some time and owning several electric mandolins. I do still own a Ryder four string Telecaster type electric mandolin. There are some unique sounds you can get out of...
Congrats on the new mandolin. I'd be interested in hearing that instrument a year from now...I bet it will open up considerably. I will subscribe to this thread and await your post! :)
I had an...
I have a Waterloo guitar...WL-14....I have compared it a 1928 Kalamazoo. Waterloo nails that vibe big time but the Waterloo has perfect intonation and playability.
Considering Collings/ Waterloo...
No problem Pete... I was trying to address the subject of this thread.
I have dabbled a little bit into Barry Harris. Mostly his adding that extra note (sharp 5 or diminished 6) into the major...
Oh and Jethro Burns Anthology book has a few chord melodies tunes in TAB
If I may chime in:
Unless you want to get bogged down with a lot of guitar stuff and overly technical theory stuff you may want to stay away from "Barry Harris" and get right to learning the songs...
