    Re: Free Improv Course

Realized it is a separate step to enroll in the course. Works just fine.

    Re: technique

You can never have too much technique. You can easily be short of good taste.

A shop I was in got written up for pouring glue into unlabeled squeeze bottles. We wrote: ‘Glue. Do not eat’ to be safe:)

Great player in a great band. Sorry their festival agenda didn't happen, was so looking forward to seeing them again. Nice to see him get so broader notice.
  10. Re: The sheer inexpressible delight of stumbling across a new tun

I got a copy of Cole's 1000 Fiddle tunes in about 1974. I'm a slow learner, more than a few to go:)

I'd be really curious to know if F models are 'more profitable' than A's. Maybe they are by dollar amount, but I'd think the per hour rate garnered is less, generally. If you can get >$20K, F's...

    Re: Finally Finished: Soliver #001

Congratulations! While I know you've been working on this awhile, I'm still envious at the speed with which you got it done, ie, you kept after it. Not all of us do that:(

    Beautiful job:)

    Re: What’s after a Kentucky KM-1050?

How is the sound of the Kentucky holding back your musical development? But sometimes change just for change can be good.
  19. Re: If money was no object, and perfect bluegrass tone was only g

Many people think the player has a big influence on tone. I’ve played several mandolins belonging to pros and I still only sound like me.

I believe Frank Solivan was a member. There are other prominent pros as well, but their names escape me.
