If anybody wants to do this, I already vectorized the logo when I was doing the shirts, and could share it in an editable pdf format.
Since it's already been stripped, I think if I had this SOL that I would paint designs on the side and headstock.
This thread is a fantastic compilation of useful insights, and I continue to appreciate everyone's perspectives.
Somebody mentioned above (this thread is getting long now and I couldn't...
One's perspective on what "moderate" means can change pretty readily as MAS gets established.
The budget I set for myself for my first instrument was $250. 4 years in, $1995 doesn't sound as over...
This is an interesting concept that a few people here have alluded to, and so it bears consideration. I have always heard previously that one should start slow and that if you try to speed up before...
Thanks again everybody! Really good stuff here.
This sounds like a great exercise. I will try it.

That's a real nice mandolin.
I wasn't. But I'm a newbie in more ways than one :)
I would. If only for the rose on the back :mandosmiley:
Also, a quick google says B&J is apparently a New York distributor. Could this be one of the first two-point Strad-O-Lins?

Having at one point in my life flown single engine aircraft, I hear you about headsets. But I also wonder if you could just remove that button the way people with sensitivities (me, for instance)...
If you provided them with that input, it might not be too late to influence the final carbon timber design.
I've heard of the Cat Distribution System; this must be an example of the Mandolin Case Distribution System
