I'll be getting there Friday morning and leaving Saturday afternoon. Never been, not really sure what it's all about. Hopefully finding some folks to pick a little with. Any pointers on what I don't...
Had a near miss not long after I got it. Whew! Almost learned the hard way.

I rescued a KM-505 from a guy on cl a few months back and just Saturday got. Me an 89 KM-1500. Will report back when I get to spend some more time with it.
No, it's not broke but it is going to need a fret dressing before long in the cowboy chord area ( can I use that term with mandolins??? ) and I was just trying to prepare myself if the need did arise.
I just got my hands on a Kentucky KM-1500. Doing a little research I see where some folks like to have the teeny tiny frets replaced with larger ones. I even read where one of the builders of the...

Hey guys, I just acquired what I was told is a Sumi Km-1500.
Serial # 89302.
Not sure if this falls into your era of interest. I understand Sumi was involved with the 1500's until 1993. Any info...
That's awesome! I was there Friday all day. My first trip. I'm going to try and stay a few days next year, Lord willing!!!
That's interesting. My son is into synths actually. Any samples of your music available for a listen?
I live near you Johnny but I assume that if I have to ask what experimental/ alternative folk music is I am probably not your guy.
Here's a bump for you....good luck!!!
I don't think many people liked the name anyway.
I actually had an Eastman 305. Very nice mandolin. As I think back maybe the neck was a little thin for me. I just never seemed to reach for it.
They use some pretty nice wood on them too imo!

HELLO Hello hello, is there anybody (out) there.
Correction, I acquired my JMA in March 2019, not last fall.
Dennis was kind enough to inform me that the B in the model number stands for Base Model.
Thank you Dennis.
Hmm, it is a brown finish. Maybe that's it.
