In your opinion, how do they compare with a Northfield F5S?
The differences between Northfield's F5S and the Bourgeois M5-F as far as I can tell are the torrified wood, fretboard binding and the back binding on the Bourgeois, as far as features go. I'm still...
I don't think it looks bad at all.
I'm thinking about buying one of these when they start selling, probably end of summer/fall. I played an Eastman MD915-BD that I really loved, and I think these are similar.

I'm looking at this mandolin, and really don't know much about Flatiron, and can't really evaluate it. Can someone help me out? Good deal?
I got their name wrong! It's Rain of Animals.....
I found these two while searching for different versions of a song from the Song a week Social Group on YouTube. They have a few songs posted, and I enjoyed every one of them. Here's Farewell To...
So I guess that isn't one of his. He said he's only built a dozen or so electric mandolins.
There is a thread from 2004/2005 mentioning Kenny Blackwell here:

So maybe he made it? I emailed him from...
What a great album! Under The Mulberry Tree is my favorite track.
The only way you'll know is if you form your own opinion by trying one out. When I first saw posts about blue chip picks, I really thought people had lost their minds, or were just liking it "because...
I bought an armrest from him back in July of 2014, and had a similar experience. I had trouble getting him to communicate with me until I opened a case with Ebay. I eventually received it, and had to...
My wife is from Chihuahua Mexico, and she just makes a face whenever their postal system comes up in conversation. When we need to get things to family farther south than Juarez, which is right...
I finally got a chance to put the replacement set that DR sent to me on my JBovier. They're perfect, and sound fantastic. I'm pretty sure I will buy more, I love the sound of them.
I had that happen with Martin strings as well, on both E strings when first put on.
The store issued me a refund, and let me keep the guitar as part of the replacement plan. So I'll try and fix this one myself, and buy her another with the refund.
Really? You insult people, and then you're the victim of "bitterness"? I'm sorry, but I think you did come here to troll and get into a political disagreement.
There are two options available: One is the Epiphone Warranty, and the other is an extra Replacement Plan from the store which is supposed to cover anything. I will find out today. Worst case is they...
Thanks guys, that kind of what I thought, but wasn't sure. It is still under warranty, and has a replacement plan. It was a gift for my Daughter last Christmas. I'll take it back to the store and see...
Hi all, I just changed the strings on my daughter's Epiphone guitar. I put D'addario EJ17's on it. As I tuned it to pitch, I heard the bridge lifting a little. Hopefully this can be seen in the pics....
I got an email from Anthony at DR Strings, and he is going to send a replacement set.
I did notify DR strings, but haven't heard from them yet. Taking that set off was more from frustration than anything else. I need to play, and the new set allows me to. I'm curious as to what DR...
I got tired of retuning, trying to figure out what was going on, so I scrapped the whole set and put on some D'Addario EJ74's. Problem solved.
I just changed my strings last night, and am having similar issues. They are a brand I have not tried before, and they sound great. However, something is not right with the D strings. When I tune...
I'm learning this tune right now, and wondered if folks more familiar with Klezmer could help me out. I know how it sounds, etc. from the track included on this page, but can't seem to find any...
