Mando Mutt has a great 2011 MT2. Birdseye maple, Adi top. Worth looking at. But in the end all equally great mandolins. Purchase used and s@ve yourself some dough.

I prefer Engleman. Subtle difference but more pleasing to my ears.
The only one for me would be a Collings MT2V engleman top and waverlys.
Northfield airloom deluxe case will accommodate both.
What Max said about Helicore strings. I prefer the set with the wound A’s.
There a whole lot of cool in that old A.
That nugget is just great. Adrian’s mandolin is pure silk. Is The Hogan topped with something other than AD Red?
Had to come back for another look. That tp is badass.
He does the engraving on the Collings tailpieces. That stuff is artistic and beautifully crafted. Your tailpiece is really cool. Definitely a statement.
Tg does indeed help with tone and projection when standing. My only gripe is the way my mandolin feels with the Tg attached. Body heavy or bottom heavy. Without the Tg the instrument feels balanced....
Nice touch.
Looking to hearing that one when it’s complete.
Redwood top? It’s beautiful.
Great Idea. I love the looks of Collings and Northfield tailpieces. However string changes were always a bear. The toothpick will definitely impart a newfound love for those tps. Thos Collings pieces...
"I did that on F-9 few years ago"
I remember that F9. Great job on its restoration. Where did that one end up?
Love those those Presto cases with the tartan interiors.
Just curious but are nitro finishes ever removed in favor of one of the varnish finishes?

Someone recognized a deal and pulled the trigger.
Breedlove Quartz, was a 2001 model and would’ve been better suited as a concrete statuary mold. A stump had more going for it sonically than this thing did. Seriously an old A40 with a sunken top...
Nice. I agree those cases are more than adequate. Lots of room for unnecessary stuff! Like mine.
Tim you have a great looking and I’m sure a great sounding MT2. I missed my holy grail a few years back, MT2V light tobacco burst with an engleman top. Haven’t seen another since.
Howdy folks. Anyone have the tab or point me to a vendor? I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Lane
Collings makes a fine mandolin. I’m enjoying my MT2 as well. It’s my second one. First was not made with torrefied wood. #2 is and there’s quite a bit of difference sonically between the two. Hope...
Yup, killer deal. Lp
