Over the years Bob Taylor "revoiced" the dreadnaughts by changing the bracing, which was just done again about 2 years ago. The new ones have much more volume and more in the bass end of the scale....

Maybe I am just overly lucky, but I have owned a Rigel, a Brentrup, and a Ratcliff, none of which I played first,but all of which were excellent! I am not saying that this is the recommended method...
