Re: Where did you find your last mando?

Gbase.Com for last one, Carters for the one before that, few from Craigslist
  2. Re: What's your favorite recorded mandolin harmony?

David Grisman and Andy Statman play some nice harmony on their "Songs of our Fathers" cd. In fact the most recent acoustic disc podcast is based on that recording and some of the tunes are played.

Bob Page, frequently lists in Cafe classifieds, has a nice looking 1938 D'Angelico on his Gbase page. Hard to not collect more at times.!

    Re: Wegen TF140

You can order them right from Wegen. A while ago all places I could find in the US were out of stock. I emailed him and in 4 days the picks were in my mailbox from the Netherlands, amazing!

Re: Eastman fiberglass cases still available?

There is a Bobelock in the classifieds right now and I found them available a few months ago at several sources, some much cheaper than others. See past threads of the last 4-5 months.

Re: Carbon fiber and fiberglass cases

After much deliberation I was seriously considering the Bobelock Arrow case, there was a thread back in July/ August, but while researching found a good deal on a Presto case, very happy with that!
  14. Re: Warped top. How worried should I be about this?

I doubt living in the south would have caused that, but I am no expert. Living up north and have it sitting next to a heat source would be another issue.
  15. Re: Warped top. How worried should I be about this?

I would contact Northfield. At a year old I would expect they would either replace, repair or something to that effect.

Re: What's up with that truss rod?

I once had a " the loar" and had to use one of those ball end hex wrenches to adjust the truss rod. A standard one would not work, funky angle. I believe it was metric though.
