perhaps the star who purposely released bad albums hoping that would keep throngs of fans away is still trying to enjoyhis life in solitude

I recently pulled the trigger on a Hohner Crossover...
I suggest you taste several Collings and Webers as well to choose the mandolin you can't set down. Between the same models by the same maker there are variances. That said Collings deserves it's...
lot's of great suggestions...did'nt see "The Wrecking Crew"...definitely a 2 scrolls up rating
the MF Eddie linked was'nt matte ... MFs are.... I have the MF Tony referenced above, IMO Collings has achieved a consistancy in producton acrossed their line giving that 'Collinsg' sound
my Martin B1 "pushes more air" than my mandolins do...great tone but not enough volume to be heard in a BG jam...
my Englehart "pushes enough air" to easily be heard..AND FELT...even when played...
best that I can tell the vibration is "formed" inside the sound chamber...
different tone woods influence the sound when used in various components....
instrument construction be it flat/arched...
MANDOLIN STORE look no further...my second mandolin was purchased used from a friend who purchased it from Gruens...
GORGEOUS LOOK!!!! did that old spruce come out of the crate sounding slow vwaltz comfy? my old cedar did...
only picks & strings for mandolin this Christmas.. but the Hohner Crossover in A & SEYDEL 1847 Blues Harp in C are taking this years merriment up a notch...
big playlist of Christmas music all acoustic mandolin, fiddle, harp guitar & fingerstyle guitar on random...no vocals...
most electric and acoustic/electric basses are 30"...my Martin B-1, Breedloves, Guild acoustic/elec. Rickenbacker electric, Carvins & several others are 32" scale...I suggest you get a 32" fretless...
the Taylr 'forklift' guitar sounds good...is it possible certain flaws enhance tone?
the V neck on my MF is identical to the neck on my Weber SE
did'nt Bill Monroe record "My Last Days On Earth" on mandola?
Earl did'nt do it that way....
I have one of each...one collings mf from the early days of their production that is a pure aggressive beast... Everything any bluegrass picker would want..
.
And a bruce weber signed se cedartop.....
at GALAX they have a mandolin toss at Kilbasa Bills

years ago on a sunny afternoon I was sitting in the food tent at Merlefest having lunch and John Hartford sat down next to me and said hello...it was perfect Doc, Earl,Ralph Stanley, Vasser , Sam...
did'nt BM tell Grisman&Garcia that he'ld teach them bluegrass but then they would have to invent their own style because bluegrass was his??

I started to brag on my Collings MF... but Red7flag beat me to it...
Tony I felt guilty when you told me how you liked the MF more than the MF5...then you got an Ellis and I got over that silly...
