Re: Anyone know of this picker?

Would love a copy of this material especially the scales. But beware of copywrites or it could cost you an arm and a leg in fines.

  3. Re: brave enough to face the criticism

Agree with Old Sausage, constructive tips maybe and lots of encouragement needed especially for such a personal instrument as Mandolin.
  4. Re: Do you feel butterfly when tuning up the E strings to tune?

Yes, often hold my breath, and sweat buckets. Even when I know I'm safe at the time. Even have to check several times that I'm NOT tightening the wrong string the'A' instead. Phew!

    Re: Fingernails on fretting hand

I had a tip from a nail artist to have a small square of jelly a day apparently the gelatine will help in nail and hair growth, and stop nails splitting in winter.

    Re: Using a strap

Yep, I always use a strap. But then I'm a belt and braces type of bloke. I'd rather have it safe than risk an expensive trip to the floor with my Mandolin 'Rhubarb'. Gives me some kind of reassurance.
  14. Re: Is it wrong to correct a poster's spelling or grammar?

Another thing I have just remembered, is that not all posts come from Desk Top Computers.
Other machines are used e.g. Pads, Phones etc. They don't all have checkers.
  15. Re: Is it wrong to correct a poster's spelling or grammar?

Anyone is allowed to correct mine. Even though most of mine may be due to dyslexic fingers, or predictive texting.
Also there are differences between American spelling and English spelling. Not to...
