So, we have been successful! ;);)
  3. Re: My first ( real try ) at learning to play... Bought an Octave

Of course you can. The scale is longer than a mandolin (I think the Eastman is 21" versus 13 7/8" or so for a mandolin), but it's certainly not double a mando, or even as long as a guitar. You will...

Whether you want the 8 bar guitar solo intro or the separate "Falling In and Out of Love With You" song, tabs for both are all over the web. Google is your friend! Try Ultimate Guitar Tab. They are...

Re: Cat smell in a mandolin case

Wow, really? I have had a lot of cats over the years, and other than right after a trip to the litter box or right after a thorough cleaning (when they smell a bit like saliva until they dry), none...

    Re: Good-bye old Mandolin Cafe

Like the 20 most recent items instead of 10. Ads seem a little overwhelming. The big "30% off everything" is missing something, at least on my tablet. 30% off whose everything? Clicking through...

    Re: Fender Tru-Shell picks

My experience was similar to Stevo's. The order showed correct style & thickness, but the product title still showed "medium. " So now I have 4 mediums to return instead of 2. Sheesh.

    I'm a long -...

    Re: Fender Tru-Shell picks

Exactly the same thing happened to me, although my order says "Extra Heavy." I think the problem is that the product name says "Medium," so when you select Extra Heavy, the product name doesn't...
  12. Re: Anyone ever heard of a GILLETTE microphone?

Holy cats! Just looked up their address--they're just down the street from my office. Looks like a lunchtime trip is in order.

    Re: Tuners for a phone

I use GString and Stroboscopic Tuner. Both pretty good, the strobe tuner is nice and has been very accurate as well.

I bought a handful of the original red ones when they first came out and someone had them on sale. The only breakage I have seen was the clip of one. I emailed the company and they sent a replacement...

    I don't play bass.

    I have never played bass.

I am not likely to play bass.

    I want this bass!

    Bill, your legend continues . . ..
  18. Re: Norman Blake's Instruments up for sale at Carter Vintage

    Well, it looks like a 000-21, but not a 1921 000. Not sure if it's 1931, but certainly 1930's.
