    It plays well and sounds very sweet, you would never know its there except to look at it. The nut is shaped and smoothed in line with the neck profile. Thanks for the advice.

    I would never pay someone to do this, but I could do it myself. I've repaired and refinished a number of instruments, and since my mm50 is of low value anyway I think it might be a good idea to do...
