    I think one of the big problems is that if you get a note Ďcorrect Ď then you advance in your studies by one point, if you get it wrong then you go back by maybe up to twenty points. Thatís it....

    I have an Ashbury Octave mandolin and love playing it capo at the fifth, or better still at the seventh fret (DAEB) which would be about the same scale length as a mando.
    I really like this tone....

    I agree, I’d just add that it’s ‘physical’ distancing rather than ‘social’ distancing.
    Because at times like this we need to be socially closer, which we can be, without necessarily be physically...
