Got it in and playing, it's very, very loud compared to my old mando. Getting use to a different feel also.

I just need to set the bridge a bit lower, I may send it in for a pro setup if I can't...

Started at 48 and been playing 3 years now. Soon I'll get my custom mandolin, can't wait. Played drums in a couple of rock bands when I was young. Only problem is my left pinky is getting arthritist.

Which is red and sugar maple ? I've seen these on builders description of the sides and back they use ? Are these different than Quilted & Flame Maple ?
