    It would depend on the mandolin. If it checked all of my boxes, and offered a voice or measure of performance that my existing mandolins did not offer, then probably so. But that’s a pretty high bar....

    Roger that! I brought out the one I use for clawhammer, put it in sawmill tuning, and gave the finches and robins in my backyard a few songs that kinda fit the mood.
