Update: 5 pounds 7 ounces.
Weight: Not sure and my scale just broke this morning :(
String Tree: Still toying with the idea of adding one, but haven't yet, it is certainly playable as is.
Other Tenors: A Gretsch archtop...
I'm also a big fan of my Quilter MicroPro 8" combo
Thanks,
Baron
I pre-ordered early and was even bumped off a list and scrambled to find one of the last ones in stock. It definitely required acting fast. I hope you can find one!
Thanks,
Baron
Cheapish gig bag that also comes with the mini strat. Nothing to write home about but does the job. I hope I can find a better solution down the road.
Yes, frets are great. The hum does stop when either hand makes contact with metal.
Thanks,
Baron
My guess is they couldn't get a string tree and the fender script all stuffed onto the tiny headstock so they went for the branding, but I could be wrong. Adding an aftermarket string tree might be...
I my tenor tele came in yesterday, I quickly converted it to GDAE and have had about 24 hours with it. Here are my first thoughts:

Hi everyone,
My buddy and bandmate Noah Fishman and I are playing some shows and giving some workshops in Michigan this weekend. Here’s the information if anyone is interested:
Oct. 11th...
it was about $175 shipped. I'm fairly happy considering I had no idea what I was going to get in terms of playability.
Thanks,
Baron
Ah, that makes sense!
Whats a 5 scale? Does that mean short scale? It is indeed about 1 fret shorter than a standard mandolin.
Thanks!
Baron
Hi everyone! I made an impulse eBay purchase on a very strange mandolin that I know nothing about. I've never seen anything like it, and wonder if anyone has. Here she is:
180033
180034
180035...
I will say that it's not Cream City's fault, and I was promptly refunded and offered a complimentary set of strings for the inconvenience. Seems like fender didn't produce enough of these things....
Just had my pre-order canceled because they ended up not getting as many as they thought. Cream City Music. Super bummed!
Thanks
Baron
Looks like you need a tele!
I'm going back to old Kentucky off Bluegrass Mandolin Extravaganza!
Thanks,
Baron
I'm really looking forward to this! Please say hello if you end up attending, it's always nice to meet fellow Cafe members!

I have a Quilter micropro 8 and absolutely love it. You can get a footswitch with it to control any of the onboard effects. It's all analog rather than digital modeling, I can't pretend to understand...
I've really been enjoying the beta-buttons Scott so graciously sent me for my Collings mandola! They were extremely easy to install, fit the posts much better than the plastic ones that came off, and...
I run 46 32 22 12 on my archtop electric, but am interested in going lighter since I don't play it nearly as hard as my acoustics.
Thanks,
Baron
I really want a long scale 5 string version!
Truly incredible stuff! Would love to see a 15+ inch scale length 5 string version of this with a floating pickup!
Very cool! Would love to hear a sound clip!
Thanks,
Baron
I write all the sheet music and tablature for MandoLessons in MuseScore and have been very happy with it.
