Martin, You started this thread with wondering what people "thought". You were trolling...and you continue it with your "know it all" quote. As far as being insulted.....nah, not going to go there...
  2. Re: On Shopgoodwill: tape over the logo and serial number. Why?

Damn....get the tinfoil out. Do you know?

From a simple piece of tape over a headstock. And you are going to get lathered up. Ok.

A bit later....my apologies to the Cafe for letting things...
  3. Re: On Shopgoodwill: tape over the logo and serial number. Why?

Really....you can make up all kinds of stories and scenarios. But if you even get more frantic just to support your own "theory"....does it make any more real. Get a grip.
  4. Re: Sourcing Custom Trapeze Tailpieces (Archtop Guitar Style)

I have had Andrew Mowry make me some beautiful ebony tenor crosspieces. Complete with inner metal stop plates. Very easy to work with and very nice quality at a good price. You can find the...

    Operator error on my...

Re: worn top question -- Regal tenor

StewMac has a clear, adhesive backed thick film for pickguard/top covering that I have used with good luck. But if you have deep grooves it might be very tricky to get it to lay down without air...

Re: A Regal tenor guitar with a history

I put Waverly 4081 Uke tuners on my Regal....pricey, but they look and work great. I prefer the knobs from the side instead of the back of the plate.

Nice that you got some history with it. ...
