Hi Ron,

Hi Mick,
The basic body shape is similar to the one in your photo.
Thank you.
Thanks for your reply. The one in question has two symmetrical points which are not very pronounced. I have searched the Internet but haven't been able to come up with much on the E style. All of the...
Hi,
Does anyone know anything about these Mandos. It's what I would describe as an oval hole double medium cutaway shape. Back is almost flat (slight curvature) and the top is similar but...
A couple of tips that may help. I always:-
1. Do the binding of the top before I fit the neck and put the back on.
2. Prepare the fretboard (binding included) before starting on the neck so I can...
I have changed to Air Brush stain application and will never go back to hand application. Much cleaner with less waste, about ten times faster and the results are ten times better.
I have come up against this problem in the past. Now I always put a very light smear of Superglue on the winding just to be sure it doesn't slip. I've also heard of people soldering the winding on...

Best wishes.

Last one. This "cool tool" is available through my website.
Two to go.
Next one.
Maybe you need one of these. This tool is used for fitting and removing strings from Eastman, Webber and Allen type tailpieces.
Hi Kevin, Sounds almost identical to an Eastman MD615 I recently got from Steve Perry. Both instruments have had precious little play time so I think they will both open up to become very good...
Oops!. Sorry. That should read F5.
This is the back.
This one started out as an IV "in the #white" F4 to which I added the finishing touches. Front view.
I fabricate extended barrels, when necessary, so that my King Brown Arm Rests can be fitted to deeper bodied Mandolins. Octaves, Mandocellos etc. All I need is the depth measurement.

Has anyone bought Maple Mando backs from the Medicine Bow Wood Store on Ebay? Any comments, recommendations etc would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have experienced this problem and I think it is caused by the post on the Allen Tailpiece being too smooth. This allows the loop to slip and tighten up. I solved the problem by putting a very small...
Hi Mike,
Go to Google and search for "Audacity" It's a freebie and I think you will find it will do what you want.
